2014 Wild Rivers Night - Best One Yet!
The 2014 Wild Rivers Night took place on January 9th at the Patagonia Store in Portland, OR and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect event. With over 225 attendees, a powerhouse of speakers and conservationist from all over Oregon and Tim Palmer as the master of ceremonies, this is one night we'll be talking about all year.
We had a great big showing of ECHO family, from co-owner Dick Linford to a whole handful of past and present guides. ECHO guide and mead-master Nick Lorenz of Nectar Creek Honeywine donated 4 kegs of mead in two delicious and original flavors: Ginger and Hibiscus. It was awesome to catch up with old friends.
As always, the event would not have been half as successful without all of the donations and volunteer efforts of tons of people. The crew at Patagonia were incredibly helpful and welcoming and even surprised us by donating two jackets and an awesome waterproof bag for the raffle. Sierra Nevada Brewing Company graciously donated many cases of beer.
The dedicated team of partners who put on this event were rockstars. Thank you Northwest Rafting Company, American Rivers, American Whitewater, KS Wild, Pacific Rivers Council, River Network, and Western Rivers Conservancy! We are all looking forward to the exciting future in conservation work.
