News About our Rogue River Rafting Trips
We have made some changes at ECHO in the past few months and are excited to announce them. ECHO's Rogue operation is now fully owned by Northwest Rafting Company. In 2009 long-time ECHO guide and general manager, Zach Collier, co-founded with us (Joe Daly and Dick Linford) a sister operation, Northwest Rafting Company. For the last five years we have successfully run both companies out of the same office in Hood River, OR. That office arrangement will continue.
It is hard to imagine a better setting for making the Rogue River transition from ECHO to Northwest Rafting Company. In truth, sharing office space for the past five years makes the transition quite easy. Any potential "lumps or bumps" were taken care of years ago. Dick and I feel very comfortable in handing the baton to Zach. He has done a great job of managing both ECHO and Northwest. Over these last five years, Zach has drawn upon our 40+ years of experience and folded that knowledge into 21st century technology. Zach has skillfully made us traditional and modern at the same time.
For guests returning to the the Rogue, the only change is a name change because the guides are the same, the equipment is the same, and the delicious recipes are unchanged. The Rogue is a great river, and Northwest is committed to providing a quality river experience.
ECHO will continue running trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon in Idaho, and sharing office space with Northwest in Hood River.
We look forward to seeing folks on the rio.
